Telluride Winter Activities
Telluride is a ski town, and the skiing is among the best in the world. On top of that, Telluride has far smaller lift lines than you will find at most other ski mountains. This means less time waiting and more time skiing in a day!
For you trick boarders, Telluride also boasts a superior Air Garden with huge jumps.
For some, there is more to winter life than skiing. For you, Telluride has winter fishing, ice skating, snowmobiling, or just plain relaxing at one of our spas.
Snowshoeing through the majestic landscape of Telluride makes for a beautiful, leisurely hike and also helps you work up an appetite.
Knowledgeable guides serve tea and muffins along the way and share information about Telluride's history, flora and fauna, and geology. Snowshoeing is an easy form of exercise or a great break from a day of skiing or snowboarding. Guests meet their guide at 8:45 a.m. at the Mountain Village Plaza every Wednesday and Saturday or by advance reservation. A three-hour tour is $50 and includes a lift ticket, snack and snowshoe rental from Telluride Sports.
